Lamka, May 5, 2025 -- A three-member delegation of the Zomi Council met IGAR(South) Major General Ravroop Singh this morning at the 36 Assam Rifles and discussed the ongoing law and order challenges in the district.
The delegation shared the community's concerns over recent unrest and appealed for a fair and compassionate approach from security forces. Major General Singh listened attentively and assured them of his commitment to peace, safety and equal protection for all.
The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with both sides agreeing on the need for continued dialogue and cooperation.
