Hon'ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, visited various flood-affected areas along the Imphal River this morning to assess the current situation. Key areas inspected included Kangla Nongpok Thong, Lairikyengbam Leikai and Singjamei Bridge.
The Governor was accompanied by senior state officials, including the Chief Secretary, Commissioner (Home) and Superintendent of Police (Imphal East). He directed officials to closely monitor the river situation and implement necessary pre-emptive measures.
Instructions have been issued to Deputy Commissioners to ensure timely evacuation and provide temporary relief to those affected. SDRF and NDRF teams are on alert and ready to respond.
