The Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad (ABAVP) convened its General Assembly on 17 August 2025 at the MP Club, New Delhi. The Assembly witnessed the participation of leaders, members, and representatives from across the country, deliberating on pressing issues concerning the Adivasi and tribal communities of India.

During the session, several important agendas were placed for discussion. Among these, a significant proposal was brought forward by ABAVP Northeast, highlighting the urgent need for Separate Administration for the Kuki community of Outer Manipur.

Shri Lucky Bhau Jadhav, Youth Wing President ABAVP, along with Smt. Maria Mangte, emphasized the continued suffering, displacement, and lack of security faced by the Kuki-people amidst ongoing ethnic tensions. Both leaders underscored that a separate administrative setup has become a necessity to ensure safety, equality, and development for the Kuki-community.

In the course of the Assembly, ABAVP Outer Manipur also distributed copies of the book "Tears of the Innocent and Meitei-Kuki Conflict", authored by Pu Mangboi Haokip, Spokesperson of the Kuki National Assembly. The book was presented to Adivasi Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in attendance, serving as a documentation of the tragic realities and lived experiences of the Kuki people in Manipur.

The Assembly reaffirmed ABAVP's commitment to raising the voices of tribal and indigenous communities at the national level, while also standing in solidarity with the Kuki people of Manipur in their demand for justice and a dignified future.
