Meeting of the National Executive Committee of Parishad on 17-8-2025 at 2 PM, MPs Club, North Avenue, 1st Floor, New Delhi.

AGENDA

1. Welcome address by the National President, Parishad.

2. Approval of minutes of the National Executive Committee meeting held on 2-3-2025.

3. Passing a resolution for celebration of Birth Anniversary of founder of Parishad and former Union Minister Late Kartik Oraon every year on 29 October in all the State/UTs.

4. Discussion on first digital and caste based census, scheduled from 1st March, 2027.

5. The National Executive Committee may take appropriate decision to improve the financial position of the Parishad to organise the 17th National Conference of the Parishad.

6. Discussion regarding the displacement of 108 villages living in Dholpur-Karauli Tiger Reserve by the Rajasthan Government citing the Forest Rights Act 2006 and the demolition of more than 50 houses of the tribal community in Khivni, Dewas Madhya Pradesh by the Madhya Pradesh Government.

7. Detailed discussion on declaring a “Separate Union Territory/Administration” for the residents of tribal districts of Manipur.

8. Pensioners belonging to Scheduled Tribe community of Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry are not getting pension after retirement. They are compelled to approach the Hon’ble Court for release of Pension. Thus, Parishad may discuss the issue and resolution may be passed to request the Hon’ble Chairman, Parliamentary Committee for Welfare of SC/ST to issue the suitable guidelines to all the HODs of Banks, State Government/Central Government Departments and PSUs for release of pension on time.

9. The recent opinion of Hon’ble Supreme Court that the right of married ST women to get a share in the ancestral property in the tribal society is being widely discussed in Jharkhand. This is a matter of challenging our customary law. An attempt is being made to push towards UCC, a detailed discussion on this topic.

10. The indifference of the Jharkhand government in the matter of Serom Toli Sarna Sthal, Ranchi, the main centre of pooja of the tribals. State Govt., is encouraging the encroachment of non-tribals on our religious places in various districts of Jharkhand, efforts needs to be made to stop it.

11. Discussions on the efforts made to include Scheduled tribes who are residing in Delhi / New Delhi in the list of scheduled tribes.
