Imphal, August 21, 2025: Akashvani Imphal has officially announced the results of auditions for casual announcers in three dialects—Liangmai, Zeme, and Inpui—after approval from the Additional Director General (CO), Guwahati.
For the Liangmai dialect, 10 candidates have been selected. The list includes:

Similar lists of selected and waiting candidates have also been published for the Zeme and Inpui dialects, highlighting Akashvani’s focus on preserving and promoting diverse tribal languages through its broadcasting services.
All successful candidates are instructed to accept or decline the offer by August 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Chamber of the Head of Programme, Akashvani Imphal, with original documents. Those who fail to respond by the deadline will be treated as having declined, and candidates from the waiting list may be considered.
This recruitment marks a significant step in giving representation to local voices and strengthening indigenous dialects on public radio.
