Five Chin resistance fighters have lost their lives in two days of intense fighting against Myanmar’s Tatmadaw (SAC Junta) forces along the Kalay-Gangaw route.
On October 28, two Chin National Army (CNA) soldiers — Mr Van Za Hmung and Mr Biak Hnin Thang — were shot dead during a heavy exchange of fire with junta troops.
Earlier, on October 26, three members of the Mizo Chin Rifles (MCR) — Lalbiakthuama, Lalrinthanga, and Lian Za Uk (Liantea) — were killed by bullets fired by the SAC forces in the same area.
The ongoing civil conflict in Myanmar has continued to cause severe suffering among innocent civilians. Thousands of families, including children, women, and the elderly, remain displaced, helpless, and insecure amid relentless military operations.
The Myanmar military regime continues to tighten its control with brutal force, deepening the country’s humanitarian crisis.
The international community is urged to strongly condemn these ongoing atrocities and to stand with the people of Myanmar in their struggle for freedom and justice.
