A STATEMENT OF CONSOLIDATED POLITICAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL ASPIRATIONS
Preamble
We, the assembled representatives of the Kuki-Zo Peoples, convened in a spirit of collective unity and resolve, hereby formally promulgate this Declaration. This document serves to affirm and articulate the cohesive political direction, strategic commitments, and constitutional objectives of the Kuki-Zo community.
Declarations and Resolutions
I. Institutional Mechanisms for Governance and Engagement

Establishment of a Working Group: A dedicated Working Group shall be formally constituted. Its primary mandate shall be to facilitate continuous, structured engagement and dialogue among the leadership of the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and the United People’s Front (UPF), the Kuki-Zo Council, and the wider Kuki-Zo civil society.

Centralization of Political Mobilization: All future political advocacy and community mobilization efforts shall be exclusively directed, overseen, and coordinated by the Kuki-Zo Council, establishing it as the singular apex body for such initiatives.

Formation of a Joint Political Movement Working Committee: A unified Political Movement Working Committee shall be established. This Committee will serve as the sole, consolidated representative entity for both the KNO and the UPF in all formal and substantive dialogue processes with the Government of India.
II. Constitutional and Political Objectives

Affirmation of Constitutional Redressal: This assembly underscores the critical and urgent necessity for the Central Government of India to comprehensively address the grievances and protracted suffering of the Kuki-Zo people, with a view toward immediate mitigation and long-term resolution.

Reaffirmation of the Demand for Union Territory with Legislature: The constituent tribes hereby reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the demand for the establishment of a Union Territory (UT) with a dedicated Legislature. Furthermore, a systematic, concerted, and grassroots-level initiative shall be undertaken to unify and galvanize all sections of the populace in support of this constitutional objective.

Principle of Relentless Pursuit: The demand for the creation of a Union Territory (UT) with Legislature shall be pursued with persistent, sustained, and unwavering political effort until the Government of India officially accedes to this foundational constitutional demand.
III. Commemorative Observance

Formal Observance of Separation Day: The date of May 3rd shall be formally designated and observed annually as Separation Day to commemorate the pivotal political and communal events of that period.
