SAHILCA is shocked to learn that a militarized organisation ZUF under the leadership of S. Kamson had today claimed responsibility for the harassment, terrorizing and setting ablaze the resident houses of Kangchup Songlung (II) village.
SAHILCA would like to state it clear that K. Songlung village under K. Geljang sub-division, PS New Keithelmanbi, of Kangpokpi district is a recognized Kuki village under the Chieftainship of Semlal Haokip and that the village had never cultivated Poppy.
It is unfortunate that ZUF had pretentiously claimed legitimacy to their terrorist acts of blindfolding village elders and burning down their village in the guise of acting against Poppy cultivation.
SAHILCA being the custodians of Kuki tradition and custom hereby announces a 24 hour window for ZUF to surrender their mistake in the court of SAHILCA and compensate for the loss of property and psychological damages caused to the villagers of K. Songlung (II). In case they fail to do so within the stipulated time, the CSOs of Kangpokpi district will undertake all steps necessary to ensure that Justice is served.
