𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗘𝗖 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲

Kamjong, May 18, 2026: Deputy Commissioner, Kamjong, Shri L. N. Kashung, IAS, today launched the nationwide week-long Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign titled “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” at the DC Kamjong Camp Office, 2nd MR Complex, Imphal.

The campaign, being conducted from May 18 to May 25, 2026 under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) and PM-JANMAN initiative of the Government of India, aims to strengthen last-mile delivery and ensure saturation of flagship welfare schemes among tribal populations residing in remote and far-flung areas. The initiative covers interventions relating to housing, drinking water, rural roads, electrification, healthcare, livelihood, skill development, education, tourism, animal husbandry and tribal welfare.

Addressing the gathering, Shri L. N. Kashung, IAS informed that the campaign in Kamjong District will cover 4 blocks namely Kamjong, Phungyar, Kasom Khullen and Sahamphung encompassing 27 villages. He stated that saturation camps, health screening camps, plantation drives and Jan Sunwai programmes will be conducted during the campaign period to facilitate greater access to Government welfare schemes and services. The campaign will conclude on May 25, 2026 with a debriefing and review meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes in remote tribal areas.

The launch programme was attended by ADM, Kamjong District, Shri H. L. Jain; SDO, Phungyar, Smt. Nimmi A. Khamrang; SDO, Kasom Khullen, Shri Rohini Kumar; Campaign Nodal Officer and SDC, Kasom Khullen, Shri Orient Thansing along with District Level Officers, officials and staff of the District Administration.
