Mizoram Appoints 8 CADC Executive Members

AIZAWL, July 31, 2026: The Government of Mizoram has appointed eight elected Members of the District Council (MDCs) as Executive Members of the 11th Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), following the recommendation of the Chief Executive Member.

The appointments were made under sub-rule (3) of Rule 22 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business, etc.) Rules, 2002, as amended from time to time. According to the notification issued by the District Council & Minority Affairs Department, the appointments took effect from 30 July 2026, the date on which they received the approval of the Governor of Mizoram.

The newly appointed Executive Members are:

• Shri Ajoy Kumar Chakma – 8-Udalthana Constituency
• Shri Doymoy Daveng Chakma – 15-Rengkashya Constituency
• Shri Supreme Raj Chakma – 3-Chhotapansury Constituency
• Shri Montu Chakma – 19-Devasora South Constituency
• Shri Ananta Bikash Chakma – 14-Longpuighat Constituency
• Shri Santosh Chakma – 11-Ajasora Constituency
• Shri Dinesh Moy Chakma – 7-Kamalanagar West Constituency
• Shri Lakkhan Chakma – 17-Jaruldubasora Constituency

The appointments mark another significant step in the constitution of the new Executive Committee of the 11th Chakma Autonomous District Council.
