Churachandpur Pharmacies Told to Install CCTV by Aug 31

Lamka, August 3, 2026: The Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Churachandpur, has reminded all pharmacy proprietors in the district to install CCTV cameras with a minimum recording and storage capacity of 15 days by August 31, 2026.

The directive was issued through a memorandum dated July 30, 2026, following the District Level Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) Committee meeting held on June 26, 2026. It also serves as a reminder of an earlier memorandum issued on June 30, 2026.

The CMO stated that the measure aims to regulate the sale of Schedule H and Schedule X drugs and ensure proper maintenance of prescribed registers.

In addition, all existing pharmacy proprietors have been asked to submit relevant details to the CMO's office on or before August 31, 2026. The required information includes the pharmacy's name and address, drug licence details, proprietor's name and contact number, confirmation of CCTV installation with the required storage capacity, and whether the pharmacy stocks Schedule H and/or Schedule X medicines.

The memorandum was issued by Dr. Ph. Henkhonenng Mate, Chief Medical Officer, Churachandpur, and copies have been forwarded to the Director of Health Services, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and local media for public awareness.
