Shillong, Aug. 3, 2026: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office, Shillong, has extended the last date for submitting online application forms for the Class VI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027 to August 7, 2026.
According to an official notification issued on July 31, 2026, the deadline has been extended due to administrative reasons. The order was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of NVS Shillong Region.
The Regional Office has directed all Principals of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under the Shillong Region to ensure that student registrations increase during the extended period. Schools have also been instructed to widely publicise the extension through local newspapers and other suitable media to create greater awareness among eligible students and their parents.
In addition, the notification regarding the extended deadline is to be uploaded immediately across various platforms to ensure that all eligible candidates are informed in time.
The extension offers another opportunity for eligible Class VI students who have not yet completed their online applications for JNVST 2027.
