Jan Sunwai Camps to Be Held Across Churachandpur District

Lamka, Aug. 5, 2026: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur, has announced that Jan Sunwai (Public Grievance and Entitlement Camps) will be organised at all operational Adi Sewa Kendras (ASKs) across the district from 13 to 15 August 2026 under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

According to a notice issued by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, the camps are being organised following directions from the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department, Government of Manipur.

The initiative aims to facilitate the registration and speedy disposal of public grievances, enable on-the-spot applications for eligible government schemes and entitlements, create awareness about welfare programmes, and identify vulnerable households requiring assistance.

The camps will be conducted under the supervision of the respective Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and Block Development Officers (BDOs), with support from officials of various government departments and village authorities to ensure maximum participation, particularly among Scheduled Tribes.

Adi Karmayogi Volunteers (AKVs) will assist in household mobilisation, beneficiary registration, grievance documentation, digital data entry, awareness campaigns, case follow-ups, and report preparation.

All government departments have been directed to depute adequate staff and officials to the respective camp locations in coordination with the concerned SDOs and BDOs to ensure the effective delivery of government services and benefits under various welfare schemes.
