A
one-day district-level competitive event under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign was
successfully held today at the Multipurpose Hall of Thoubal College, Thoubal.
The event was co-hosted by Thoubal College, Thoubal, and jointly organized by
Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Thoubal, the District Administration Thoubal, and
the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Thoubal College.
District Youth Officer, MY Bharat
Thoubal, Shri Vishal Dhakad, today highlighted the objectives and future
initiatives of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) while addressing the
media. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dhakad said that MY Bharat is an
autonomous organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports,
Government of India, committed to channelizing the energy of young people in
the right direction and nurturing their creativity through a wide range of
events and programmes.
He stated that MY Bharat regularly
organizes awareness campaigns, youth engagement activities, and experiential
learning programmes in collaboration with various government departments. These
programmes provide students and young participants with practical exposure to
the functioning of government institutions and administrative systems,
complementing the knowledge they acquire through formal academic education.
Shri Dhakad further informed that
MY Bharat is building a strong youth network through both physical outreach and
digital platforms. Efforts are being made to register as many young people as
possible so that they become part of the MY Bharat community and actively
participated in future programmes and initiatives.
He also mentioned that
communications have already been sent to the heads of educational institutions
regarding youth registration and participation. Expressing hope for greater
cooperation from educational institutions, he said that such collaboration
would strengthen youth engagement and enable the successful implementation of
more developmental programmes in the district.
The District Youth Officer
concluded by expressing his gratitude to all stakeholders and reaffirmed MY
Bharat's commitment to empowering the youth through meaningful and impactful
initiatives.
The district-level competitive
event featured competitions in Dance, Music, Street Play (Nukkad Natak),
Painting, Elocution (Debate), Short Film/Reels, Slogan Writing, and Slam
Poetry. Students from various schools and colleges across Thoubal district
participated enthusiastically in the one-day event. The winners in the Dance
Competition were: Eastern Star Higher Secondary School,
Thoubal (First Prize), The Academy of Performing Arts,
Thoubal (Second Prize), and Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School,
Thoubal (Third Prize).
In the Slam Poetry
Competition, Azish Aribam secured the First Prize, M.
Chinglembi won the Second Prize, and Md. Amjad secured the Third
Prize.
In the Slogan Writing
Competition, Md. Zawed Alam won the First Prize, while Nirmala
Saikhom Chanu secured the Second Prize.
In the Debate (Elocution)
Competition, Laikrakpam Sanathoi Meitei secured the First
Prize, Md. Zawed Alam won the Second Prize, and O. Columbus
Singh secured the Third Prize.
In the Nukkad Natak (Street
Play) Competition, Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School won the First
Prize.
In the Music
Competition, The Academy of Performing Arts, Thoubal secured the
First Prize, while Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School won the Second
Prize.
In the Painting
Competition, Ningombam Premchand Singh secured the First
Prize, M. Priyobarta won the Second Prize, and Laishram Keliver
Singh secured the Third Prize.
Mementos and certificates were
distributed to the position holders of the various competitions in recognition
of their achievements. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from
students, reflecting their commitment to spreading awareness against substance
abuse through creativity and cultural expression under the Nasha Mukt
Bharat Campaign.
The event was attended by Prof. A. Nabachandra Singh, Principal, Thoubal College, Thoubal, and Dr. N. Ibobi Singh, President, TCTA. Hundreds of students and teachers from various schools and colleges across the district also participated in the programme.
