Myanmar: Landmine Hits Junta Convoy Security Near Sagaing

Linyon Nyi Naung Guerrilla Force (Sagaing) said they detonated a landmine on July 28, 2026 at 11:15 AM near Kone Village, Sagaing Township, Myanmar. 

The target was a junta security team escorting a convoy from NWC Monywa to Infantry Division 33 in Sagaing.  

Result: 2 junta soldiers killed, many injured. 

The guerrillas said junta forces left the bodies for hours, then later fired heavy and light weapons into the area while retrieving them.
