Unemployment, education, social and economic justice
to dominate meet: Sandeep Dikshit
NEW DELHI, Aug 11, 2026: ‘Rachnatmak Congress’ will organise a two-day national convention in the national capital on August 12 and 13 to deliberate on pressing public issues, including rising unemployment, education, social justice, economic justice and the environment.
Representatives from
across the country will participate in the convention and discuss issues
concerning the people, as well as strategies to address them. Congress
president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul
Gandhi will also address the gathering and share the party’s approach towards
these issues help shape the party’s future strategy on issues of public
concern.
Addressing a press
conference at the Congress office, ‘Rachnatmak Congress’ president Sandeep
Dikshit said the convention would focus on important public issues and involve
discussions with people.
Around 400 delegates are
expected to participate on the first day, while nearly 600 representatives will
attend on the second day, he said.
Dikshit said the first
day would focus primarily on organisational issues, followed by deliberations
on the future strategy. The discussions held on the first day would be reviewed
in detail on the second day.
Kharge will address the
delegates during the second-day session, while Rahul Gandhi will also
participate in the convention and interact with the representatives, he said.
A key feature of the
convention would be its ‘open session’, Dikshit said, explaining that it was
intended to serve as a platform for the people. “People’s questions will be
heard directly and answers will be provided,” he added.
