Tamenglong, May 25, 2026 (DIO): The Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan concluded successfully in Tamenglong district today with closing remarks delivered by Shri Namthango Kahmei, MCS, Assistant Commissioner to the Deputy Commissioner and District Nodal Officer for the programme, at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.

The campaign, launched on May 18, 2026 under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, organised a series of outreach activities across 38 villages in Tamenglong, Tamei, and Tousem blocks. Conducted as part of the Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 under the theme “Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle,” the initiative aimed to improve access to healthcare, education, veterinary services, and various welfare schemes provided by line departments of the Government of Manipur.
The closing programme was attended by Shri D. Meidinbui, MCS, Sub-Divisional Officer (Tamenglong), along with departmental line officers and officials.
Officials stated that the campaign significantly strengthened outreach to remote communities and enhanced coordination among various government departments for effective delivery of public services and welfare schemes
