DC Pherzawl Inspects Development Projects, Schools

PHERZAWL, August 14 2026: Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl, Shri Anunay Anand, IAS accompanied by ADC Zousanglur Joute inspected several completed and ongoing development projects and educational institutions in the district today, taking stock of the progress and status of key public infrastructure.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner visited the ongoing construction of the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) building, the NDB water tanks at Damdei and Loibul, the Working Women’s Hostel building, and Anganwadi Centres in Pherzawl.

He also inspected Pherzawl Govt. High School and Hmuizawl Government Aided School, reviewing the existing facilities and infrastructure of the educational institutions.

The inspection was aimed at assessing the progress of various projects and examining the availability of essential facilities for the people, particularly in the areas of education, water supply and social infrastructure.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner kicked off an exhibition football match between the DC Team and Pherzawl Youth Club, adding a sporting engagement to his programme.

The field inspection underscores the district administration’s focus on monitoring development works and ensuring that public infrastructure projects are implemented effectively for the benefit of the people.
