Kuki Revolutionary Army Leader Arrested

Saikul, Feb 1, 2026: A joint team of Central security forces and Manipur Police arrested a Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) leader in Kangpokpi district, Manipur. The individual, Lamginlal Chongloi (36), was apprehended with arms and ammunition over the past 48 hours. Chongloi, a self-styled Sergeant Major of the KRA, was arrested from the Saikul–Keitheimanbi bridge area. A 9mm pistol, a magazine, and three live rounds were seized from him. He hails from New Saikul village. The KRA is active in Kuki-dominated districts. Police have registered cases, and Chongloi is in custody for further investigation.
