IEC Campaign Starts in Lhungtin and Island Sub Division

Sabse Door, Sabse Paas, Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign for the district of Kangpokpi has officially kick started today at the two Sub Divisions of the district ie Lhungtin Sub Divisions and Island Sub Division which cover two separate camps each. IEC Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan is an awareness and outreach initiative, particularly focused on tribal and remote areas, aimed at informing people about government welfare schemes and ensuring eligible beneficiaries receive services through camps and local activities. The campaign includes awareness programs on government schemes, village meetings and outreach activities, health screening and entitlement camps, grievance redressal through Jan Sunwai, and door-to-door or village-level interactions by officials and volunteers.

The awareness campaign for Lhungtin and Island Sub Divisions is being supervised by the Block Development Officer Shri Samuel Misao MCS, SDO Lhungtin and Shri Len Singsit MCS, SDO Island respectively. The Lhungtin block will consist of two separate camps which will covered 6 village and the Island block will consist of two separate camps which will be covering 8 villages.

Today's awareness camp provide explaining eligibility and application procedures, identifying beneficiaries, helping people fill forms or update documents, conducting health screenings, addressing public grievances through Jan Sunwai sessions, distributing information materials, and carrying out village-level discussions or door-to-door outreach so that people in remote areas are informed and connected with services entitlement drives, village immersion drives, Jan Sunwai sessions, documentation, and debriefing activities across the district. Camps are also being set from line department including Health Department, Agriculture, CAF& PD, among others.

The campaign will covers 25 distinct policy interventions spanning 17 Central ministries under the PM DASGVA framework, alongside an additional 11 targeted interventions from 9 ministries dedicated specifically to the PM JANMAN scheme.
