Kangpokpi, August 14, 2026: Two Naga militants were reportedly killed and three others injured in an alleged factional clash involving Naga armed groups at Langka in Kangpokpi district on Thursday. According to reports, the clash took place between cadres believed to be associated with the NSCN-IM and Naga Village Guards. Aizawl, August 14, 2026: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted searches at 13 locations in Chennai and Mizoram as part of its investigation into a major interstate and international methamphetamine trafficking network. The searches covered eight locations in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and five locations in Mizoram, including Aizawl and Champhai. 2 Arrested, Arms and Ammunition Recovered in Kangpokpi
Kangpokpi, August 13, 2026: Joint security teams recovered arms, ammunition, communication equipment and other items during a search operation conducted at Joupi and Khoirok villages in Kangpokpi district on August 12. The operation was carried out by teams of Manipur Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), CoBRA and the Rapid Action Force (RAF).
