ZOMI FINS Members

In 1985, the Thangkhal music scene witnessed the formation of the band Zomi Fins, founded by lead guitarist T. Kammuanpau, with members including T. Kapsuanthang (composer of the TSP Anthem) and T. Kamsuanlal (Zomi Fins singer and founding member of TSP). This old photograph shows all three members.

Security Forces and ZRA Sign "Suspension of Operations" Agreement

THE Security Forces (SF) and the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA), the armed wing of the Zomi Reunification Organisation (ZRO), have signed an agreement to suspend operations for six months, starting from 1 August 2005. This Suspension of Operations (SOO) may be extended based on mutual understanding between both parties.

Under the agreement, the ZRA has committed to refraining from any hostile or violent activities against the Security Forces, including the Army, Assam Rifles, Central Police Organisations, and State Police. Likewise, the Security Forces will not conduct any unilateral offensive operations against the ZRA.

Additionally, the ZRA has agreed not to engage in any unlawful activities or actions that may lead to harassment, injury, death, or damage to civilian property.

The agreement aims to create an atmosphere of peace, with the Government of India potentially initiating formal negotiations for a lasting and peaceful settlement in the future.

The agreement was officially signed on 1 August 2005 by representatives of the ZRA/ZRO and the Security Forces. This move is seen as a step towards stability and dialogue in the region.
