ZOMI COUNCIL HONOURS CHAMPION THIAUMUANLAL GUITE
The Zomi Council proudly felicitated and congratulated Thiaumuanlal Guite on the evening of August 2, 2025, at its office premises. A proud son of Kangkap village in Churachandpur (Lamka) district, Thiaumuanlal Guite made remarkable winning by clinching the championship belt at the F3 Strike Combat Mixed Martial Arts Tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The 20-year-old fighter, belonging to the Paite-Zomi tribe, showcased exceptional skill and discipline in the flyweight category (52.3–56.7 kg). He defeated Tay Yi Heng in the semi-finals on May 18, followed by successive wins against Muhammad Yusuf and Nadhir Izzat in the finals on July 27—earning the championship belt and a well-deserved cash prize.
His deep spiritual grounding, openly prioritizing God as his source of strength and motivation, serves as a powerful inspiration and a shining example for the youth among us.
The Zomi Council salutes his Salpha courage and excellence and celebrates his victory as a proud moment for the entire Zomi community in India and abroad.
