Lamka, May 21, 2026: As part of the ongoing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the theme “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle”, the District Administration of Churachandpur on Thursday conducted outreach programmes at six locations across the district.
The camps were organised at Leisang village under Tuibong Sub-Division, Tuilaphai village in Henglep Sub-Division, Dampi village in Samulamlan Sub-Division, besides locations in Sangaikot and Suangdoh Sub-Divisions. The programmes were supervised by the respective SDOs, with SDCs and staff overseeing the arrangements.
The campaign forms part of the nationwide PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening public participation in development programmes, welfare schemes and grievance redressal through coordinated efforts of the administration and line departments.
During the outreach drives, various departments conducted awareness programmes on government welfare schemes, collected public grievances and suggestions, and reviewed local development issues. Officials and villagers also took part in transect walks under Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 as part of village connect activities.
The Health Department organised free medical check-ups and distributed medicines to patients, while the Forest Department distributed free tree saplings and encouraged environmental conservation.
Officials also addressed matters related to PM-JAY, Chief Minister’s Widow Pension Scheme (CMWPS), Manipur Old Age Pension (MOAP) updation, benefits for persons with disabilities, Chief Minister’s Scholarship for ST students (PWD CMST), and CMHT health cards.
The State Bank of India and Central Bank of India provided assistance on social security schemes and resolved insurance-related issues under PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY schemes.
The SDO Offices issued caste and domicile certificates, affidavits, birth orders and Aadhaar updates to eligible applicants on the spot. The Block Development Offices and Rural Development Departments addressed issues relating to MGNREGS, PMAY-G updation, PM Vishwakarma and Mudra loan grievances.
Departments including Women and Child Welfare, Agriculture, PWD, Education, Social Welfare, MSPDCL and PHED also set up stalls and provided services related to their respective sectors to ensure direct benefit delivery to the tribal population.
District Level Officers, officials from various line departments, NGOs, SHGs, VDVK members, village chiefs and large numbers of villagers, including men and women from different areas, actively participated in the campaign and availed various government services.
