Subject: Humble appeal not to pull out Assam Rifles (AR) comprised of all Indians from different communities of India from outer Manipur Hills who are well versed of the situation in the state.

Hon'ble Sir,

With due respect and highest honour, the undersigned on behalf of the Kuki-Zo community would like to thankyou for your respectable concerned for the people of Manipur on accoumt of the current Meitei-Kuki ethnic conflict in the state since May 3, 2023 till date.

Inspite of enduring subjugations in all spheres, and faced untold hardships in the current conflict from majority Meitei community, we have high hopes and never forgotten your assurance speech on the 24th February 2022 that "all Kuki Youths will stop holding guns and hold Laptops", at Sonpi/ Churachandpur, Lamka Public Ground during your 'Maiden Visit' to Manipur in 2022.

In the meantime, your honorable office had posted several Central Security Forces (CSF) in the state to look after the security of the people on both sides. However, the majority Meitei community do not like and wish to withdraw Assam Rifles from the state, whom they could not dictate as they manipulated the Manipur State Forces such as Manipur Police, Manipur Police Commando and IRB. As such, your respectable office is earnestly requested not to withdraw Assam Rifles (AR) from outer Manipur Kuki areas and shifted all Assam Rifle troops from Meitei areas whom they dont like in their areas into Kuki area, who would continue to maintain neutrality and do the noble jobs as usual for the security and well being of the people in our areas.
