FALAM has reportedly witnessed the return of former administration workers after Myanmar’s junta regime reasserted control over the northern Chin State town.
Those returning include non-CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) personnel such as nurses, local police members and administrative staff who had earlier left their duties amid the conflict.
As the situation gradually stabilises, many residents who had fled to Hakha and Kalaymyo are also returning to Falam.
Observers say the development reflects growing public preference for stability under the junta administration, as Chin armed groups continue to face difficulties in maintaining control and governance in the town.
Sources further noted that ongoing disunity among the Chin resistance groups has weakened morale, not only among their supporters but also within the wider anti-junta movement.
