THE untimely demise of Late Simon Kamei, a dedicated member of the Territorial Army from Taolingpung Village under Khoupum Sub-Division, Noney District, has deeply saddened the community. He passed away on May 21, 2026.
Late Simon Kamei, son of Khangsunlung Kamei, was known for his discipline, dedication and unwavering commitment to duty during his service in the Territorial Army. His life reflected courage, sacrifice and selfless service to the nation.
His passing is considered a great loss not only to his family and village but also to the wider community. People who knew him remembered him as a brave and sincere individual whose service and contributions would always be honoured and remembered.
