Assam Flood: ₹160 Crore Aid Sent to Affected Families

GUWAHATI — Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday announced that nearly INR 160 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of families affected by the recent floods, providing immediate financial relief to thousands of households across the state.  The Chief Minister said the state government has credited an interim assistance of Rs 15,000 each to nearly 75,000 of the worst-affected families in four flood-hit districts.
