Mizoram Police seized huge quantity of drugs and liquor

MIZORAM POLICE SEIZED HUGE QUANTITY OF DRUGS AND LIQUOR SINCE ANNOUNCEMENT OF MP ELECTION, 2024

As part of the state-wide drive launched by Mizoram Police to check the use of liquor and drugs, over 4773 litres of Local Made Liquor (LML) worth Rs. 23,28,000/, 2577 litres of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs. 41,23,200/-, 66 litres of BEDC worth Rs. 49,500/-, 636 cans of Beer worth Rs. 3,18,000/- at the local market were seized and about 13,340 litres of fermented rice worth Rs. 46,69,000/- were destroyed during the period from 16th March, 2024 to 8th April, 2024. 51 cases were registered at Police Stations and 61 accused persons were arrested.

5.513 Kgs. of Heroin worth Rs. 1,65,39,000/-, 26.469 kgs. of Methamphetamine worth Rs. 3,44,09,700/- and 23.085 kgs of Ganja worth Rs. 1,15,425/- were also seized during the same period. 25 cases were registered at Police Stations and 33 accused persons were arrested in these cases.

INC candidate Mr Alfred K Arthur visits Lamka

LAMKA, APRIL 10: Congress party's candidate for Outer Manipur constituency, Alfred Kanngam Arthur, along with Shri Victor Keishing, working President MPCC and other Congress members visited Lamka today.

The INC candidate Shri Alfred Kanngam Arthur along with T. Manga Vaiphei, Star Campaigner & Working President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and Pu Lalnghet Hmar, President, Churachandpur DCC met leaders of the Zomi Council, Kuki Inpi Manipur and Indigenous Tribal Leader's Forum. 

Speaking at the district and block level Congress workers Meeting, Shri Alfred Kanngam Arthur implored the gathering of the Congress District worker “to stand up for our rights and never compromise with our due share as enshrined and guaranteed by the Constitution of India.” He further said, people should be united to fight against the rightful shares in all spheres. He also said that he will sincerely work for all sections of the society. Shri Victor Keishing has also told the Congress workers that secularism in our democracy should be protected by the right thinking people.  He urged all congress workers to work harder to secure the trust of the people. He blamed the State Government for the State reeling under a deep crisis since the past 11 months. 

The district and block level Congress workers Meeting was held at T. Manga Vaiphei's residence, Red-Cross road, Lamka attended by Alfred Kanngam Arthur, Manipur INC Outer Candidate, Shri Victor Keishing, working President MPCC, Shri Mangkholien Gangte, Secretary- MPCC, Shri Mangchinkhup, Member-MPCC all district and block level Congress workers. 

Shri Alfred Kanngam Arthur along with party workers has also visited KKL Relief camp at Sangai University, Kaparang. He interacted with relief camps inmates and hears their grievances.
