Pastor Appreciation Sunday Message

“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” – Jeremiah 3:15

Today, we joyfully celebrate Pastor Appreciation Sunday at Thangkhal Baptist Church, Delhi. It is a special day to honor and thank our beloved Pastor Thangdoulal for his faithful service, godly leadership, and tireless work for the Lord and His people.

Pastor Thangdoulal is not just our spiritual shepherd but also a humble servant of God who continues to inspire us with his dedication and wisdom. His translation of the Thangkhal Bible – Old Testament is a priceless gift to our people. Through his effort, God’s Word is now made more accessible and meaningful in our own heart language. This great work will surely bless many generations to come.

Besides his translation work, Pastor Thangdoulal uses modern platforms to spread the Good News. Through his YouTube sermons and social media posts, he reaches out to hundreds of souls with encouraging messages and biblical teachings. His blog writings are simple, deep, and thought-provoking, touching lives both near and far. He has also authored several books in Thangkhal dialect, contributing richly to our language, culture, and faith.

We thank God for giving us such a passionate leader—one who is intelligent, wise, and full of compassion. Like a good shepherd, he guides us with love and truth, helping us grow stronger in faith. His life reminds us of the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13:

“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.”

As a church family, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude. We pray that the Lord will bless Pastor Thangdoulal with good health, wisdom, and renewed strength to continue the great mission entrusted to him. May God’s grace always surround him and his family.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” – Numbers 6:24–26

Thank you, Pastor, for being a faithful servant, a gentle teacher, and a caring shepherd. Your ministry continues to shine as a light in our community and beyond. May you always find joy in serving the Lord and leading His flock.
