Four CC–CDF Siyin Fighters Killed in Tedim Clash

In Chinland, four fighters from the CDF–Siyin (Chinland Council) lost their lives while defending their land and people. The incident happened on 27 November 2025 near Zawngkawng village in Tedim Township, where heavy fighting took place.

According to local sources, the SAC forces attacked Zawngkawng, Varlung and New Sungpi villages on 27 November using Y-12 aircraft. The attack caused serious damage and created panic in the area. SAC soldiers stationed at Tedim town under the 269 Battalion, and those in Kalay town, reportedly carried out strong assaults during the operation.

Chinland Council fighters said they resisted with determination, but four of their men were killed in the battle while protecting their community. They also claimed that there were casualties and heavy losses on the SAC side as well, though the exact numbers are not yet confirmed.

The situation in Tedim remains tense as villagers fear further attacks and continue to seek safety.

Kukizo Harvesting Joy in Tengnoupal despite Ongoing Unrest

THE pictures show a beautiful and lively scene from a village in Tengnoupal district, where Kukizo men and women have come together for their traditional harvest work. They stand inside a neatly arranged circular space made of bundled straw, created specially for threshing the crops. Under the bright sun and wide blue sky, the whole setting looks warm, peaceful and filled with the spirit of community.

Even though Manipur has been boiling under violence since 2023, this moment captures a different side of life—unity, hope and resilience. The men and women work happily, side by side, talking, laughing and moving with rhythm as they thresh the grains. Their colourful clothes brighten the scene, showing how eager they are to finish the harvest together. Hard work pays at the end; the year-long toils and sweats are now turning into fruitful seeds.

This simple act of harvesting becomes a powerful reminder that life and hope continue even in difficult times. The community’s teamwork shows their strength and determination to hold on to their traditions. In these images, the Kukizo people express not just their culture, but also their courage and unbreakable spirit—choosing unity and joy despite the challenges that surround them.

Lamka: Public Shaming Is Not Justice

THE recent incident involving two young girls of Pearsonmun, Lamka, who were allegedly caught stealing a small amount of money, has raised serious concerns about how communities handle minor offences. A philanthropic organisation is expected to uphold dignity and compassion, yet exposing the girls’ names, ages, and residence on social media was both irresponsible and harmful. No matter the allegation, public shaming is never the right path. These girls are clearly vulnerable, and broadcasting their identities puts them at greater risk, harming their future and worsening their emotional distress. A community must correct wrongdoing, but never at the cost of a child’s dignity.

The role of a respected organisation should be to counsel, guide, and uplift—not to humiliate. By posting identifiable details of these Pearsonmun girls, the organisation acted without considering legal and ethical responsibilities. Children accused of petty wrongdoing deserve protection, not exposure. Social media trials only deepen fear and stigma, creating long-term consequences that far outweigh the mistake committed. Instead of helping them correct their behaviour, such public exposure isolates them and fuels gossip. This approach also undermines the very purpose of social service groups, whose mission should focus on rehabilitation, awareness, and constructive solutions.

This incident should serve as a reminder that our society must move towards a more thoughtful and humane response to mistakes made by the young. Stealing a small amount of money is wrong, but so is shaming a child before the whole community. The correct response should involve counselling, parental engagement, and, if necessary, quiet disciplinary action handled with care. We must demand higher standards from organisations that claim to serve the people. True leadership means protecting the weak, guiding the misguided, and showing compassion even when correcting wrongdoing. Our community must learn from this incident and ensure that dignity and justice always come before exposure and humiliation.

Chin Alliance reclaims Strategic Base in Tedim from Myanmar Junta

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance, which includes the PDF-Zoland, has recaptured a key military base in Tedim Township, Chin State, from the Myanmar junta. The base was first seized in November 2023, later retaken by junta forces, and finally reclaimed by the alliance on 18 November 2025.

The renewed fighting comes as the junta tries to secure control ahead of its planned elections on 28 December 2025. Resistance groups say they killed about 100 junta soldiers, including a major and a captain, and also seized weapons and detained several troops.

At present, the junta holds only Hakha and Tedim townships in Chin State, while resistance forces control areas such as Tunzan, Falam, and Mindat.
