Mizo Integration Council CALLS for Unity and Oneness

 Office of the
MIZO INTEGRATION COUNCIL (MIC)

Motto: Zofate Insuihkhawm

HEAD OFFICE:
Lai Villa, H.No. 215, Chiengkonpang, Tipaimukh Road,
Lamka – 795158.

ESTD. 2025

Ref. No.: MIC/PA-01/2026 Date: 9th February 2026

MIZO INTEGRATION COUNCIL CALLS FOR UNITY AND ONENESS

The Mizo Integration Council (MIC) appeals to all sister tribes to come together and unite as one people. We have long been fragmented and divided, using various names and identities, but it’s time for us to realize that our strength lies in our unity and oneness.

The World recognizes us as Mizo too, a term that encompasses our shared history, culture and traditions. Embracing Mizo as our common nomenclature will not only bring us together but also earn us respect from our neighbours and facilitate our pursuit of separate administration.

MIC believes that unity is key to achieving our goals. When we are united, we can pool our resources, skills, and strengths to achieve common objectives. Our collective voice will be louder and more effective in bringing about positive change.

We urge our entire sister tribes to put aside differences and work towards a unified goal. Let us shed our individual identities and adopt Mizo as our collective identity. Together, we can achieve greatness and secure our rightful place in the region.

WHY UNITY AS MIZO?

• Mizo is recognized and respected term, widely known and respected by all including our neighbours.
• Unity as Mizo will bring us economic prosperity, social justice, and emancipation from division, domination, subjugation, and suppression.
• Mizo is an inclusive identity, welcoming all who want to be part of our community.
• Our shared history, culture, and tradition bind us together, and it’s time for us to recognize and celebrate our shared heritage.
• Unity as Mizo will enable us to preserve our collective culture and heritage and building a stronger and more united community.
• A united Mizo community will be better equipped to promote education and empowerment among our people, establish educational institutions, promote literacy, and empower our youth to become leaders and change-makers.
• Unity as Mizo will enhance our dream to live under one administration, enabling us to govern ourselves and make decisions that benefit our community.

MIC OBJECTIVES FOR MIZO INTEGRATION:

• Emotional Integration: Fostering a sense of belongingness and unity among all Mizos.
• Cultural Integration: Preserving and promoting our shared culture and tradition.
• Linguistic Integration: Promoting the use of Mizo language as our Lingua franca.
• Administrative Integration: Creating a unified administrative framework that empowers our people, ensures effective governance, and paves the way for a prosperous and harmonious United Mizoram.

OUR GOAL: UNITED MIZORAM.

MIC is committed to pursuing the implementation of the Mizo Accord under Article 3 of the India, constitution with the goal of merging our fragmented lands with Mizoram to form a United Mizoram.

Let us seize this opportunity to unite and work towards this noble goal. Let us put our Mizo identity first and strive for a brighter future for ourselves and our generations to come.

LET US REMIND OURSELVES AGAIN, ‘UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL’.

Let’s join hands and be part of Mizo Integration Movement. Let’s build a stronger, more united Mizo community, and secure our rightful place in the world.

LET US UNITE AND LIVE WELL, AND LIVE LONG. “GOD BLESS MIZO INTEGRATION MOVEMENT, BECAUSE, ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’.”

Security Tightened in Ukhrul as Litan Tensions Rise

UKHRUL, Feb 9: Heavy security forces have been deployed across the Litan area in Ukhrul district following a spike in communal tensions. Multiple units, including the BSF, CRPF, RAF, and Manipur Police, have taken up strategic positions from Lambui to Litan Bridge to prevent further violence.

The situation remains fragile after reports emerged that three houses belonging to one community and nine belonging to another were allegedly burnt. Although a meeting was scheduled to resolve the dispute through dialogue, one party reportedly failed to attend, leading to a tense standoff. Witnesses describe the atmosphere as a "silent wait," with both sides watchful but avoiding direct contact for now.

There are suggestions that the heavy deployment is linked to wider political movements, including efforts to keep the National Highway open. Reports indicate that security checks are being carried out along the routes, and a group of workers returning from the Burma border were briefly held at an Army gate before being allowed to proceed.

Local leaders are now calling for unity and restraint. Citing the biblical command to "love your neighbour as yourself," community elders are urging people to choose collective strength over individual pride. They warned that isolation and internal division only lead to weakness, while peace and cooperation remain the only path to a lasting victory for the people.

ZNNFT 2026: Quarter-Finals Round | Matchday Fixture

🔖 *The 78th Zomi Nam Ni Football Tournament 2026 Edition*

⭕ *Quarter-Finals Round | Matchday Fixture*
9th February, 2026 (Monday)

12:00 pm - SYMROPIA FC vs Golngai FC
02:00 pm - Ganggam SC vs Dynamic FA

⭕ Blockbuster matchday as the big guns are in action today

📃 *At a Glance*
> SYMROPIA FC vs Golngai FC is the most tantalizing fixture so far

> Ganggam SC looking forward to making a big statement this term, Dynamic FA hopeful of replicating their giant-killing instinct

With the conclusion of the action-packed knock-out round on Saturday, today will mark the commencement of the quarter-finals with two highly appealing fixtures set for a showdown in today's matchday at the iconic Phungkhothang Guite Mawltual (Lamka Football Ground), Hiangtam Lamka.

Today's first quarter-final match will be a titanic showdown between two hot contenders in the name of SYMROPIA FC and Golngai FC while District football giants Ganggam Soccer Club entertains Dynamic Football Academy in the day's second quarter-final fixture.

_SYMROPIA FC and Golngai FC were among those clubs considered early tournament favourites and as expected they have reached this stage without much hardship. So far, SYMROPIA FC scored 7 goals and conceded 1 goal while Golngai FC scored 5 goals and conceded one. Looking at the statistics, past history as well as the quality of players, it looks really hard to predict for the outcome of this match._

SYMROPIA FC were eliminated in the quarter-finals last edition while Golngai FC reached the final but lost to Kuki Sporting Club in the final showpiece last term.

The day's second match will be a clash between Ganggam Soccer Club and Dynamic Football Academy. Despite having won some other prominent tournaments in the District, Ganggam Soccer Club had rarely made big statements in  Zomi Nam Ni Football Tournament. Having that in mind, they are all but determined to go all the way to the final stages. Meanwhile, Dynamic Football Academy produced headline-grabbing performances in recent tournaments across the district and with their giant-killing instinct, they might be hopeful of triggering an upset on Ganggam SC today. Ganggam SC overcame Neihsial Veng YC 1-0 in the knock-out round while Dynamic Football Academy finished Group G as pool champions and qualified for the quarter-finals.

ZCA Condemns Delay in Implementing Thanlon Re-Amalgamation Order

Office of the
ZOMI CHIEFS' ASSOCIATION
General Headquarters

Date: 08.02.2026
PRESS STATEMENT

The Zomi Chiefs' Association expresses its strongest condemnation of the continued failure of the concerned authorities implement Order No. 337 dated 07 January 2022, by which Thanlon Sub-Division was officially re-amalgamated with Churachandpur District.* Even after four years, key departments such as Education, Police, Social Welfare and others remain under the functional control of Pherzawl District. This prolonged administrative distortion is indefensible and stands in to both the will of the people and the government's own notified order.

Public patience is now at the tweaking point. The ZCA has repeatedly pursued this through constitutional and administrative channels, yet persistent inaction has only intensified public anger and eroded trust in the authorities.

The January 2026 incident in which a Social Welfare Department program was conducted at Bukpi Village with the involvement of the Pherzawl District constitutes a grave breach of local administrative propriety and traditional authority. It is a deliberate and serious insult to the institution of tribal chieftainship and is both provocative and unacceptable.

Furthermore, the notification issued by Board of Secondary Education, Manipur dated 07 February 2026 listing High School under Pherzawl District for the HSLC Examination, 2026 demonstrates disregard for established administrative boundaries and further inflames public sentiment.

The Zomi Chiefs' Association categorically declares that the *Pherzawl District administration must immediately cease organizing or conducting any program outside its lawful administrative jurisdiction.* Any continued interference will be treated as a challenge to public sentiment and administrative order.

The ZCA calls upon all village chiefs the general public to cooperate with any program or activity organized by Pherzawl District authorities within Thanlon, Mualnuam, Suandoh or Singngat Sub-Divisions. This position is taken out of necessity to defend administrative clarity, public dignity, and lawful governance.

*If the immediate transfer of all departments to the Churachandpur District administration is not undertaken without delay and completed on or before 28 February 2026, the Zomi Chiefs' Association will be compelled to take all necessary measures in public interest.* Responsibility for any consequences from continued neglect will rest entirely with the concerned authorities.

KSO Ukhrul Condemns Mob Attack on Litan Sareikhong Village

Ukhrul, Feb 8, 2026: The Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Ukhrul District, has strongly condemned the violent mob attack on Litan Sareikhong Village, allegedly carried out by certain villagers of Shikibung, calling the incident deeply regrettable and harmful to communal harmony.

In a press release issued by the Department of Media, KSO Ukhrul District on February 8, KSO stated that the incident created unnecessary fear, damage, and disruption among the affected communities. The organisation clarified that the incident originated from a minor altercation involving a few intoxicated individuals from both villages.

According to KSO, the matter was already being addressed peacefully through customary mechanisms by the established village authority of Litan Sareikhong, in consultation with the family of the injured person. Such customary processes, the organisation noted, have long been respected and effective methods of conflict resolution in society.

The organisation criticised the decision to resort to mob violence despite ongoing peaceful efforts, terming it unjustified and unacceptable. It warned that collective punishment and violent retaliation would only escalate tensions and undermine peaceful coexistence between neighbouring villages.

KSO appealed to the general public, civil society organisations, and all concerned authorities to exercise restraint and responsibility, and not to communalise or misrepresent the incident. It stressed that the issue was not communal in nature and that any attempt to portray it as such would only inflame sentiments and obstruct justice.

The organisation further urged the concerned authorities to conduct a fair and impartial inquiry, ensure accountability for those involved in the violence, and take necessary steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Emphasising the need for calm, KSO stated that peace, dialogue, and respect for customary and legal processes must prevail over anger and misinformation.

MACCAM Condemns 8 Gorkha Rifles’ Action, Imposes Total Bandh

Imphal, Feb 8, 2026: The Makhan Area Chief Chairman Association, Manipur (MACCAM) has strongly condemned what it described as blatant, arbitrary and unconstitutional actions by personnel of the 8th Gorkha Regiment (8 GR) at Leimakhong on February 7, 2026.

In a press communiqué issued by the Information and Publicity Wing of MACCAM on Sunday, MACCAM alleged that innocent villagers from Samu, Konsaram and K. Lungwiram were illegally and forcibly stopped at Chingmang, Leimakhong, at around 12:30 pm while returning to their respective villages after attending a church conference. The association claimed that the action was carried out by personnel of 8 GR under the influence and direction of certain Vaiphei elements operating in the Leimakhong area.

MACCAM expressed shock over the alleged statement made by security personnel that they could not open the gate due to the absence of "orders from the perpetrators." The association termed the statement outrageous, shameful and a direct assault on the constitutional authority of the Indian State, asserting that such conduct is unacceptable in a democratic society governed by the rule of law.

The association further alleged that the incident was deliberately engineered by a few Vaiphei elements with the objective of destabilising peace and provoking unrest in the region. It warned that partisan and unconstitutional conduct by security forces poses a serious threat to public trust and national integrity.

Demanding immediate and decisive intervention, MACCAM urged the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government of Manipur to restore law, justice and constitutional order in the foothill regions without delay.

The association also pointed out that bandh observances in Naga areas have traditionally upheld humanitarian principles, allowing exemptions for medical emergencies, religious activities, weddings, condolence programmes, airport travel and students' examinations. It alleged that the complete disregard for these long-standing norms by certain groups in the Leimakhong area reflects lawlessness and moral bankruptcy.

As a retaliatory measure, MACCAM announced the imposition of a stringent and indefinite total bandh on all forms of movement within its jurisdiction with immediate effect.

KZC advises Kuki-Zo Employees to avoid Meitei-Dominated Areas

LAMKA, Feb 8: The Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) on Sunday issued an advisory cautioning all State and Central Government employees, as well as private employees belonging to the Kuki-Zo community, against travelling to or accepting postings in Meitei-dominated areas at this time, citing serious safety concerns.

In a press release issued from its headquarters in Lamka, the KZC stated that the ongoing conflict between the Kuki-Zo people and the Meiteis has not ended and that there is no political solution, mutually agreed settlement, or formal agreement in place to address the root causes of the crisis or ensure the safety of the Kuki-Zo people. The situation on the ground, it said, remains fragile, tense and unpredictable.

Referring to the installation of a new Meitei-led government, the Council expressed apprehension that Kuki-Zo employees may be directed or transferred to serve in Meitei-dominated areas.

In this context, KZC strongly advised employees under the State Government, Central Government, public sector undertakings and private institutions not to travel, report for duty, or accept postings in such areas, even if officially instructed to do so.

The Council clarified that the advisory has been issued purely in the interest of safeguarding human life, stressing that no official duty or administrative order is worth risking personal safety at this critical juncture.

It noted that in the absence of a credible political solution or mutually accepted agreement, safe movement and coexistence cannot be guaranteed.

KZC also urged the authorities to recognise the prevailing realities and act responsibly to ensure that no lives are put at risk.

It called upon all concerned to exercise utmost caution until peace is restored through justice and a lasting political settlement.

Litan Sarei Khong Clash: Village Authority Appeals for Peace

LITAN SAREIKHONG, Feb 8: An incident involving a scuffle between a few intoxicated individuals from the Tangkhul and Kuki communities was reported at Litan Sarei Khong in Ukhrul district on the evening of February 7. The altercation occurred around 8.30 pm, during which one individual, identified as AS Sterling, son of late AS Paoshim, sustained injuries.

According to a press release issued by the Litan Sarei Khong Village Authority, the injured person's brother and sister later approached the village chief, Mr Hemkhothang Baite, at around 10 pm to report the matter. Following a peaceful discussion, both sides mutually agreed to resolve the issue through customary means, and a meeting was scheduled for Sunday, February 8.

However, the Village Authority stated that the agreed meeting did not take place as the victim's family allegedly failed to attend. Instead, a group of heavily armed villagers from Sikibung reportedly launched a violent attack on the residence of the Chief of Litan Sarei Khong.

Despite police intervention, the attackers allegedly continued their violent acts by targeting the house of the individual said to be involved in the initial scuffle.

The press release further claimed that while retreating from Litan Sarei Khong, the armed group fired seven rounds of bullets near the Litan Police Station, creating fear and panic in the otherwise peaceful town. An FIR has been lodged against the villagers from Sikibung for unlawful actions and for attempting to escalate the situation.

Strongly condemning the violence, the Village Authority appealed to the public to maintain peace and communal harmony, urging all concerned not to communalise what it described as a simple altercation involving a few intoxicated individuals.

The Authority reiterated its commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue, customary practices and lawful means, stressing that peace remains a collective responsibility.

TSP Career Guidance and Blessing Prayer Event 2026

IT WAS a lovely, purposeful afternoon in Thingkangphai this Sunday, 8 February. The Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi (TSP) General Headquarters hosted a special Blessing Prayer and Career Guidance session at the Thangkhal Baptist Church (ABA), kicking off at 1:00 PM.

Felicitation of Resource Person

The day began on a spiritual note with an opening prayer from TBC (IFCA-I) Pastor Dalginsuan, followed by a warm welcome from Mr. T. Hangsuanlun, the TSP-GHQ Secretary. To lift everyone’s spirits, Miss Debora Thangkhal performed a beautiful special musical number.

The heart of the event focused on helping the younger generation find their feet. Mr. Haumuanlal, the owner of ASCEND Coaching, joined as the guest speaker. He’s a fantastic coach with a real knack for helping people succeed, having mentored many individuals who have gone on to do great things through his centre.

Pastor Dalginsuan

It is truly praiseworthy that the TSP-GHQ has organised this event once again. Following the success of last year's career guidance, it’s wonderful to see the community's commitment to its youth. Indeed, many young students from the Thangkhal community have already gone on to succeed in various professional fields, proving just how vital these sessions are.

To ensure the students felt supported, local Pastor Khamkhanthang offered a dedicated prayer of blessing over them. As the event drew to a close, TSP-GHQ President Mr. Lianminthang shared a few words of thanks. The afternoon wrapped up with a final prayer led by Elder Chinsuanlam, Local Chairman, TBC (ABA), Thingkangphai.

Founded in 1987, the Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi (TSP) has long been guided by its founding motto: "Righteousness exalteth a nation." — Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)

TSA Condemns Lamminlun Singsit Over UKNA Threats in Manipur

SHAMELESS TERROR & DECEPTION: TSA VEHEMENTLY CONDEMNS LAMMINLUN SINGSIT FOR WEAPONISING UKNA NAME, FORCING FAKE STATEMENTS AND ATTACKING THADOU IDENTITY & PEACE PROCESS IN MANIPUR

MEDIA RELEASE
Saturday, the 7th February, 2026

The Thadou Students' Association (TSA) vehemently and unequivocally condemns the reckless, coercive, terror-driven, and outright criminal actions of Mr. Lamminlun Singsit. Through repeated and brazen misconduct, he has actively sabotaged peace, shattered communal harmony, assaulted democratic values, and endangered public order in Kangpokpi District and surrounding regions.

TSA is outraged and appalled by credible reports that Mr. Lamminlun Singsit has viciously intimidated office bearers of the Motbung Youth Club (MYC), particularly its President Mr. SK Thanglenmang via aggressive telephonic threats. He forcibly compelled them to issue a fabricated press rebuttal denying the Thadou Students' Association's rightful affirmation of Motbung's Thadou identity and its support for the Popular Government. He further attempted to block and disrupt the scheduled visit of Manipur's newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Shri Losii Dikho to the Motbung Intra-Village Sports Closing Programme on 07.02.2026.

In these despicable acts, Mr. Lamminlun Singsit repeatedly invoked the name of the armed militant group United Kuki National Army (UKNA) to instill raw terror, spread paralyzing fear among innocent community members, and coerce compliance. He falsely propagated that Motbung is a "Kuki village" and that all Kuki organisations, including the Committee on Tribal Unity (COTU), of which he is Joint Secretary, oppose the Popular Government. This blatant misuse of an armed outfit's name constitutes a direct and grave threat to life, liberty, and constitutional governance.

Using the fake WhatsApp identity "Wesleypa Singsit" (Mobile No. 8729867665), the accused:
Harassed and bullied MYC leaders and members around 6:40 PM;
Himself posted the coerced rebuttal statement in the group at 12:22 AM—clear evidence of digital coercion, impersonation, and manipulation.

Since the outbreak of ethnic conflict, Mr. Lamminlun Singsit, as founding General Secretary of COTU Kangpokpi, has ruthlessly mobilized mobs around Motbung Village, terrorized innocent Thadou villagers with threats, and allegedly forced them into illegal activities including extortion and collection of funds purportedly for procurement of weapons.

The situation is made even more alarming by credible information that the accused's wife is allegedly connected to Mr. Thangmang Haokip of UKNA. His persistent and threatening invocation of UKNA therefore demands immediate, intensive, and high-priority security and intelligence investigation.

TSA categorically declares and warns that Mr. Lamminlun Singsit possesses absolutely no authority whatsoever to represent the Thadou people, Thadou Inpi – Sadar Hills, or any Thadou organisation. He holds zero legitimacy to speak, act, or issue statements in our name. Every false claim of Thadou representation is a calculated fraud and will be vigorously exposed, challenged, and crushed.

The Thadou community remains rock-solid in its commitment to peace, constitutional governance, democratic processes, lawful authority, and peaceful coexistence. TSA will fiercely and uncompromisingly resist and defeat every effort to hijack Thadou identity for personal ambition, political manipulation, or extremist purposes, especially when reinforced by threats and the illegal invocation of armed militant groups such as UKNA.

Given the extreme gravity of these offenses, including criminal intimidation, digital impersonation and forgery, extortion, criminal conspiracy, promotion of enmity between groups, abetment harming national integration, and misuse of armed group names, TSA demands immediate and uncompromising action:
The Government of Manipur and all concerned security agencies must forthwith arrest Mr. Lamminlun Singsit and register FIRs under all applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
Conduct a rapid, comprehensive, transparent, and high-level investigation into his entire network of activities, associations, funding sources, and connections, particularly his repeated and menacing use of the United Kuki National Army (UKNA) name.
Provide immediate, robust, and fail-safe security protection to TSA leaders, Motbung Youth Club office bearers, other community heads, student bodies, youth organisations, and civil society groups now facing these direct threats and coercion.

The Thadou Students' Association reaffirms its iron resolve to uphold peace through lawful means, constructive dialogue, and unwavering democratic engagement. We call upon every citizen, organisation, and authority to reject, expose, and decisively defeat all forms of intimidation, misinformation, fear-mongering, and militant-backed coercion, particularly when names of armed groups like UKNA are weaponised against innocent communities.

Those who attempt to terrorise the Thadou people or destabilise Manipur's constitutional framework will face the full force of law and community resolve. Impunity will not be tolerated.

Vicky Thadou

Kuki-Zo Students Protest Against MLA Involvement in New Manipur Government

NEW DELHI – The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Delhi & NCR staged a demonstration at Jantar Mantar today, 7 February, to register their fierce opposition to the participation of Kuki-Zo legislators in the newly formed Manipur state government.

Protesting under the specific banner "Protest Against Kuki-Zo MLA(s) Involvement in Manipur Popular Government Formation," the student body argued that any participation in the Imphal-based administration betrays the community's struggle. In a strongly worded press statement titled "Justice First, Not Symbolism – Kuki-Zo Dignity Before Government Formation," the KSO declared the new "popular government" illegitimate in the eyes of those still living under displacement and trauma.

A Political Rupture
The KSO clarified that the Kuki-Zo people no longer consider themselves part of Manipur’s political or administrative framework. They described the violence inflicted since May 2023 as an "irreversible political rupture," making continued coexistence under the current state structure untenable.

"The crisis is not about accommodation within Manipur," the statement read, "but about a breakdown that has made continued coexistence under the same state structure untenable." The organisation slammed the projection of peace and stability as a misrepresentation of the lived reality of the people.

The Humanitarian Cost
To underscore their rejection of "symbolic representation," the KSO highlighted the staggering humanitarian toll the community has endured since 3 May 2023:

226 Kuki-Zo lives lost.

Over 200 villages burned and 7,000 houses destroyed.

360+ churches and synagogues destroyed.

41,425 individuals currently displaced.

Demand for Justice
The KSO maintained that peace cannot be "manufactured" through political declarations or administrative gestures while root causes remain unaddressed. The organisation emphasised that the voices of ordinary Kuki-Zo people—those who have lost homes and family members—must take precedence over political appointments. The protesters called for accountability and a permanent political solution that acknowledges the total collapse of the relationship between the community and the State of Manipur.
