Kuki-Zomi-Hmar Mizo tribes) as part of their ethnic cleansing operations against the Zofa family, which began on May 3, 2023.

MARTYR: MUANSANG

On 10th June 2023, My brother Muansang @mangesh, and his friends responded to the call to defend our land at the frontline. With courage in their hearts,they set out to serve their beloved homeland on the battlefield. After a brief preparation,they packed their bags and headed towards the office, which marks the beginning of their journey to the frontline -- T.LOKLAIPHAI. Little did we all know that this journey would be his last.The events that unfolded in the coming days change our lives forever.

On the fateful night i.e, On the 11th of June 2023, My brother MUANSANG also known as COMMANDER MANGESH was disrupted in his sleep due to a nightmare. So as a way of chasing away the darkness of his dream and unsettling thoughts, he volunteered himself to join his friends in the bunker despite it not being his scheduled duty time.

The next morning, on June 12th 2023, he shared a haunting request with his friends that if he were to die on the battlefield,they should not leave his dead body behind.This statement raises the unsettling question of whether he had a premonition of his own demise.

Tragically, fate answered the questions mere hours later. At around 2:00-3:00 PM, we received the devastating news that he had been shot by a meitei sniper.Initially, we were told that he was wounded but not critically. However, minutes later, the news turned graved, and we learned that he had succumbed to his injuries.

As the bullet hit my brother,his COMRADES-IN- ARMS risked their own lives to rescue him,but the enemy (meitei) restless shooting made it a perilous task. After much effort and with difficult,his COMRADES-IN-ARMS finally managed to reach to him.He was breathing heavily and could still utter some words saying, "ANA!HON KI KAP KHA".

The questions surrounding my brother's final hours continue to haunt me.what was the nature of that dream that disrupted his sleep? Did he indeed have a premonition of his own death? The uncertainty lingers, a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the mysteries that lie beyond our understanding.

The memory of his bravery continues to inspire us,even as we struggle to come to terms with his untimely passing.
