· Completed matriculation (Class X) from Loyola High School, Jakhama, Nagaland. Secured 10th Rank in Nagaland Board of School Education in 1980, obtained distinction marks in Hygiene, Science and Geography subjects thereby bagging the Nagaland State Government Scholarship.
· Passed out Pre-university Science (Class XI & XII) from St. Edmund’s College, Shillong in 1982.
· Graduated the Bachelor of Civil Engineering securing First Class degree from Lukhdhirji Engineering College, Morvi, Gujarat in the year 1986.
· Completed M.A (Linguistics) in the year 2007 from Annamalai University, Tamilnadu.
· The Centre for Linguistics, School of Language, Literature & Cultural Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi-110067, India, awarded Doctor of Philosophy with effect April, 03, 2013. The Doctorate Thesis is titled “A Descriptive Grammar of the Zo language” covering ethnographical account and detailed grammar of the Zo language.
