Manipur Revised Department-wise Budget Allocation: Disparities in Funding

The budget allocation highlights a clear disparity between Manipur's hill regions and the plains. While the hill areas received no funds across several departments, the plains were allotted substantial amounts.

Departments and Allocations:

1. Land Resources: ₹500 cr (Hills: Nil)

2. Consumer Affairs & Family Welfare: ₹173 cr (Hills: Nil)

3. Medical, Health & Family Welfare: ₹5,630.08 cr (Hills: Nil)

4. Animal Husbandry: ₹1,043 cr (Hills: Nil)

5. Power: ₹9,500 cr (Hills: Nil)

6. Planning: ₹1,00,578.93 cr (Hills: Nil)

7. Jail: ₹15.01 cr (Hills: Nil)

8. Water Resources: ₹9,456.46 cr (Hills: Nil)

9. Art & Culture: ₹81 cr (Hills: Nil)

10. Tourism: ₹576.81 cr (Hills: Nil)

11. Science & Technology: ₹596.36 cr (Hills: Nil)

Call for Separate Administration
The glaring imbalance in budget distribution has intensified demands for a separate administration to ensure equitable development for the hill regions.
