Veteran Politician Pu Lianzakap Passes Away

LAMKA, 23 JUNE 2018: A veteran politician and social worker, Pu S. Lianzakap passed away in Shija Hospital, Imphal after prolong illness, on 23 June 2018 around 9.30pm. He was 76.

He left heavenly abode leaving behind his beloved wife, 10-daughters and a son. He is the second eldest son, of Pu (Late) S. Thangchinkhup, among the seven siblings (5 male & 2 female).

His brothers and sisters: Pa (Late) LIANCHINTHANG (eldest), Tamu; Pa S. GINSUANHANG, Tuibuang; Nu CHIINKHANNGAI, S. Phaiza; Pa (Late) LAANGSUANTHANG, Tuibuang; Nu CHINGLAMNIANG, Tuibuang; and Pa S. THANGHAULIAN, Shillong.

Hundreds of his relatives, friends, and well-wishers pay the last tributes on his burial day at his residence, in New Zoveng, Churachandpur. He was laid to rest in a well-made burial site in his own home-compound, as his last wish.
