Kuki Revolutionary Army refutes KNF’s allegations


IMPHAL, JULY 25, 2019 (IFP) – The Kuki Revolutionary Army/ Kuki National Organisation (KRA/KNO) today clarified that it has nothing do with the alleged murder of PRO, KNF, Demkhohao Kipgen on July 22.

A released by joint secretary, information and publicity, KRA/KNO, T. Simte stated that the allegations made by Kuki National Front(KNF) regarding the murder of Demkhohao in Kangchup Chiru Village accusing KRA/KNO is false and unverified sources and baseless allegations to defame the organisation.

It warned the KNF not to make such false accusations in the future by mere presumption of any incidents. The KRA is one of the arm groups under KNO which strictly adhere to ground rules and obliged by laws and constitution of India, since the organisation is a part of tripartite talks with State and Centre, it asserted.

Branding the KNF as a ‘terrorist’ group and a black sheep organisation, it alleged that it was KNF who forcefully dragged out ex- KRA, Satlhun Haokip and Ngamlet from their house at midnight of May 5,2017 from Khoken village and were brutally murdered.

But KRA/KNO resolved to talks with representatives of the state government with KNF on the other sides and the matter was peacefully solved in manner that KNF would not disturb the people of New Keithelmanbi and Kangchup areas again, but in contrary to that, KNF continue disturbing the people of the area, it added.

Appealing the concern authority to check such anti-social activities in public interest, it further stated that KNF resorting in such anti-social activities would not bring anything good for the society.

Man brutally murdered in Mata


ZSF condemns the gruesome and barbaric murder

LAMKA, 14 FEB 2019 — A 55-year-old man has been allegedly murdered in Mata Village, Lamka, Churachandpur district, Manipur.

The deceased has been identified as Mr Tualkhanlian S/o (L) Liankam of Mata Village. Sources said his throat was slit and his private part has been cut off in gruesome murdered.


The perpetrators behind this gruesome acts is yet unknown. Police is investigating the case.

The Zomi Students’ Federation (ZSF) Manipur condemned the gruesome and barbaric murder of Tualkhanlian.

ZSF term the murder as horrific which deserves strongest condemnation. There can be no place for such brutal acts in a civilized society and apologists for these murders are just as guilty as the perpetrators.

The Federation also felt that this inhuman nature could disturb the peace and tranquility of the area particularly Churachandpur district.

The Federation also appeals to any individual or organization not to repeat this ghastly act and shun violence in the future of peaceful co-existence. It is also our ardent appeal to security operatives and law enforcement agencies operating in the district to do everything possible to book the perpetrators at the earliest.

Manipur: Kuki tribe demands justice for 1993 ‘genocide’, observes ‘black day’




Thousands of Kukis from different parts including from Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Myanmar came together at the complex and paid homage to the victims of the ethnic clash.

THE KUKI National Organisation (KNO), an umbrella group of 17 armed groups of
the Kuki tribe, has urged the central government to settle the issue of “Kuki Genocide” perpetrated by the NSCN-IM before striking a deal with the Naga militants. The KNO, which is one of the two umbrella groups under a tripartite ceasefire agreement with the governments, also warned that the outcome of the Indo-Naga peace deal should not affect Kuki territory.

“The Central government should settle the issue of the Kuki first or simultaneously and stop giving undue attention to the Naga militant for they are the perpetrators,” said Dr Seilen Haokip, spokesperson of the KNO.

2 men arrested in USRA Chief murder case

IMPHAL — Imphal East District Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder case of USRA chief Lalminthang Vaiphei on 29 Aug 2018.

The arrested were identified as Thanglenlal Misao (32) s/o Seiboi Misao of Saikul S. Khunou and Thangpi Vaiphei (29) s/o Ginkhopau Vaiphei of T. Gangphai village.

Manipuri woman attacks by 3 men in B’lore


BENGALURU — A Manipuri woman was allegedly assaulted by three men here in Indranagar on the night of 21 June 2018.

The victim was badly beaten by three local men. “It was a shameful incident three men attacks one Manpuri woman in Indranagar over a petty issue of parking. One bike was parked in front of the woman's shop and Mr M (identify unknown) started quarrelling with her not to park the bike,” says Dr Lalrinawmi Ralte (Rini), President of Northeast Helpline, Bangalore.

LAMKA — Mrs. Ngaikim w/o (late) Lalminthang Vaiphei, Commander-in-Chief of United Socialist Revolutionary Army (USRA) has been appointed as its new President, after the murdered of her husband.

The C-in-C of USRA was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in the heart of Lamka town on August 22, 2018.


USRA cabinets has unanimously selected the slain’s wife in placed of the deceased president.  The outfit is a member of Kuki National Organisation (KNO) which is under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) with the Government of Manipur.
