Manipuri woman attacks by 3 men in B’lore


BENGALURU — A Manipuri woman was allegedly assaulted by three men here in Indranagar on the night of 21 June 2018.

The victim was badly beaten by three local men. “It was a shameful incident three men attacks one Manpuri woman in Indranagar over a petty issue of parking. One bike was parked in front of the woman's shop and Mr M (identify unknown) started quarrelling with her not to park the bike,” says Dr Lalrinawmi Ralte (Rini), President of Northeast Helpline, Bangalore.

Haryana: NEH team meets NE Nodal Officer

HARYANA, 30 March 2018: Gurugram-based NE HELPLINE (Northeast Support Centre & Helpline) members met Shri Kuldeep Singh, DCP (East) Gurugram, who is also the new Nodal Officer for Northeast People in Gurugram, Haryana State, at his office today morning.

The NEH members appraised the problems and issues faced by the NE residents in Gurugram. "Salary issues, rents, discriminations, molestations, assaults, abuses, etc. have been raised during the meeting".

Delhi Police invites North East youth to join PCR Patrolling

NEW DELHI, 31 JULY 2015 — Delhi North East youths are invited to join Delhi Police PCR Patrolling with them at areas where North East people are living in large numbers like Munirka, Kotla, Khirki, Mahipalpur, Malviya Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Sun Light Colony, Safdarjung Enclave, Janakpuri, Burari, Mukherjee Nagar, Gandhi Vihar, Nehru Vihar, Civil Line, Outram Lane, North Campus Delhi University, South Campus, JNU Campus, Jamia Nagar, Dwarka.

Idea is to reach out North East people in their respective areas and to have interaction with them by halting at designated spots after patrolling in their areas. Would like to get feedbacks and suggestions on the spots for their security and welfare in Delhi.

Deployment of these North East youths will be in their respective areas or nearby. They will be trained for few days by PCR Unit before deployment, honorarium will be paid under some scheme, and certificates will be given for their participation.
