Moreh, June 19 (Chongthu News Service): National Revolutionary Front of Manipur (NRFM) has claim responsibility in killing a 40 years old non-local in Churachandpur. 

 

Anand Gupta (40) son of Pambusham Gupta of Rota district Bihar, presently residing at Zion street,Salem Veng Churachandpur was shot dead on Friday. He was inside Subhas Variety Store when two unknown gunmen shot him dead at around 7:10pm of June 17.

A press note issued by one Sanajaoba Meetei, publicity secretary NRFM stated that Anand Gupta - a native of Bihar, who run a shop in Salem veng Churachandpur was shot dead by the outfit around 7pm June 17.

The NRFM also stated that *Anand Gupta, who indulged in illegal trade on liquors and contraband drugs, used to procure liquors from outside Manipur from more than 20 agents. He was also a kingpin in drug racket in Churachandpur.

NRFM had already warned him to stop his illegal activities. Some time before he was killed on June 17, the NRFM had also fires warning shots at his shop," NRFM stated.

Learnt that one Anand Gupta of Zion Street, Churachandpur has been shot dead this evening around 7:00 pm for reasons yet to be ascertained. This cowardly act deserves serious condemnation from one and all as this incident has vitiated the peaceful atmosphere prevalent hitherto in the district. 

I have urged the district police authorities to beef up security in Lamka town and its surroundings and apprehend the culprit (s) responsible for this crime at the earliest.

Chinese man staying in India illegally arrested in Gurugram along with girlfriend from Nagaland

The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday arrested a Chinese national who had allegedly been living illegally for two years, and his Indian girlfriend for sheltering him in Greater Noida, according to officials.

According to a 'Times of India' report, the Chinese national Xue fei aka Kelay, 36, and his girlfriend Petekhrinuo, 22, from Nagaland, were arrested from a hotel in Gurugram, Haryana, by UP's Gautam Buddh Nagar Police, the officials said.

They were held on the basis of information given by two Chinese nationals, who were arrested on Nepal-India border in Bihar on Saturday by the Sashtra Seema Bal (SSB) as they were trying to cross over into the Himalayan nation after staying in India illegally, police said.

Kelay and Petekhrinuo were staying in a housing society in Greater Noida but had fled to Gurugram after they got to know that the police have started looking for them, he said. The Beta 2 Police Station in Greater Noida traced them in Gurugram and the two were taken into police custody.

 
"During probe it emerged that the Chinese national's Indian visa had expired in June 2020. He had forged the documents to make the figures look like 2022," Pandey said.

"He has violated the laws related to the visa and forged documents. His Indian girlfriend, who sheltered him during the process, had also helped him. FIRs have been lodged under relevant provisions of the law against both," the additional DCP said.

Kelay and Petekhrinuo were engaged in a business related to mobile phone spare parts in Gautam Buddh Nagar and nearby Ghaziabad, a senior official said.

According to the report, it was Indian woman who had arranged SIM cards for the two Chinese nationals who were staying at her residence, the official said, citing preliminary findings. (TOI)

The aim of procurement of Sareng fingerlings is to make self-sufficient in production and make available in plenty to the consumers. Open Letter to the Chief Minister of Manipur

The Chief Minister of Manipur

Subject: A humble query – please clarify wether the Zo/Kuki are foreigners or

bonafide citizens of India, Manipur.

Dear Sir,

As people’s C.M your active participation in social media and your fascination to interact with common people through your social media account is laudable.

I believed you have seen the ludicrous comments and hate speech made by some netizens against the Kuki-Zo community.

The scenes created in social media are a threat to our very existence.

 let me re-quote some hate comments made by those disparagers

i) Kuki hat-lase

ii) Your next black day will be with Meitei

iii) If we send some Meitei they can finish the Kukis in any time.

iv) Hey foreigners…Hey refugee.. the list goes on.

I didn’t randomly compose all these lines, I chose not to disclose their names.

Sir, what’s your stance regarding those hate comments and foreigner tag against the Kuki-Zo community?

Is it justifiable to label a recognized citizen of India as outlander?

What really baffled me was no arrest were made so far even after FIR were lodged against those nitpickers.

Conversely, Romeo Hanshong to Samuel Guite were instantly summon and arrested by rapid action police team.

This stepmother treatment is hampering common good and creating inacceptable situation.

How can the law be bias, Sir?

The Rapid rise in hatred against a particular community is rather suspicious, is there any goof- proof plan to genocide the whole community by well verse policy makers?

Sir, its inarguable fact that the three community of Manipur settle in Myanmar too. May it be from Pakistan, Bangladesh or Myanmar, it’s the duty of Ministry of Home Affairs to deport those illegal immigrants, but some antagonist brand a particular community (Zo-Kuki) as foreigners or illegal Immigrants which provoke people to be hostile towards them?

Why is the govt. silent on this matter?

Extreme level of hostility towards particular community can only be detrimental Sir, to subside these people with unwarranted claim and to safeguard the peaceful environment of the state, believing in your fine judgment, I humbly request you to please clarify whether the Kuki-Zo are foreigners or bonafide citizen of India.

This topsy-turvy environment doesn’t auger well with the slogan ‘HINGMIN NASE EIKHOI’
