The mature, strong and disciplined leadership of the KNF led by Nathan Baum will play a special role in the interests of peace in the region:
Captain Nathan Bom in KNF is an honest and dedicated person. He is a painter, writer and researcher. He is also famous as a sculptor. Despite being a guerrilla leader, he is working tirelessly for the sake of peace in the mountains. He and the leadership of the KNF under his leadership especially the officers of the armed wing are very humane and creative. The President of KNF has always observed and instructed the higher echelons of the party from a highly scholarly, creative and mature mind about the disappearances, murders and massacres of innocent people by the state forces during the ongoing joint operations in the hills. Despite his steamroller handling of torture by state forces against the Kuki-Chin population, the guerrilla chief has always ordered the armed wing of the KNF to exercise restraint and not launch armed attacks on any innocent Bengali population in the hills in retaliation. He has always said and given strict instructions, "The way the state forces have tortured and killed innocent people in the name of suppressing the KNF in the Joint Force operation is a war crime and is a reprehensible act of the state. We should not go ahead with such despicable or diabolical tactics like theirs, we should be aggressive." We have to go for peaceful approach not defensive tactics and all members of our armed wing and KNA have to take humanitarian issue and human rights violations very seriously in any operation i.e. torture should never be done on innocent or innocent people, to stop it completely. will." Moreover, even though the armed wing of the KNF was talking about intensifying the armed struggle, he always said, "We know that the armed forces of the state are inhumanely torturing and killing our innocent people. They think that the state forces are going crazy and torturing or killing innocent people." We cannot attack any innocent Bengalis, although we are sure that many Bengalis in the hills are involved in the armed forces. We should not be ignorant like them In the defensive way, it is not to hit them first. If someone comes and attacks our house, we have to prevent that attack as much as possible." Therefore, so far, KNF has not tortured or killed any particular hill or Bengali population of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bengali communities are able to co-exist safely in the hills. Therefore, the KNF will continue the armed movement through peaceful means and not through creating unrest. In the armed movement of KNF, all hill-Bengalis of Chittagong Hill Tracts and innocent people can live safely and fearlessly. The high echelons of the state and the heads of the armed forces or high-ranking officers have a lot to learn from the leaders of the KNF in terms of tolerance, magnanimity, humanity and humanity.

Kuki girl receives Veer Gatha Award
Miss Nemneineng, an inmate of Chacha Nehru Bal Bhawan (CNBB), Mata, Churachandpur received a Veer Gatha Award on the occasion of VeerGatha 4.0 Felicitation held at New Delhi.
The award was felicitated by the Hon'ble Defence Minister Shri Raj Nath Singh for her essay writing under Project Veer Gatha.
In his speech, the Hon'ble Defence Minister specifically applauded the child for her outstanding achievement and being an inspiration for many others as being brought up in a children home and making her mark at the national level_
Additionally, she is among the Top 100 students in the country selected for this award organised by the Gallantry Awards Portal of India.
Ms Nemneineng is currently studying at Vungzagen High School and preparing for her HSLC examination.
