WKIC: ABSTRACT OF THE 7 POINTS
ABSTRACTS OF THE 7 POINTS DECLARATION RESOLVED AT 'THE 3RD POLITICAL DISCOURSE & PUBLIC CONSULTATION' ON THE 15TH FEBRUARY 2025 AT M. SONGGEL COMMUNITY HALL.
As per circumstancial Socio-Political compulsion in the state and vulnerability of the Kuki-Zo people, and in persuance of Resolution No.02 of WKZIC, dated, the 12th February 2025, Kuki-Zo CSOs such as Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), Zomi Council (ZC) and Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) and SoO groups KNO and UPF (ZRA/ZRO) were officially approached in the interest of the public, and invited them for a *'Political Discourse & Public Consultation'* to come together at one table, for a "Common Cause", which they all have given their positive responses._
_Accordingly, on the 15th February 2025 (Saturday), the Political Discourse and Public Consultation was held at M. Songgel Community Hall, as per scheduled. After long deliberations as per programming, a *"Panel Discussion"* was held, and the following officially put up *'Proposed Declarations'* were deliberated point to point by invited Panelists, clause by clauses, sentence by sentences and finally approved and resolved as below, which is reproduced as under._
*Declaration No.1:*
_Whatsoever the case and situations may be, Kuki-Zo people should stand firmly and re-affirm UT with Legislature under Article 239 of the Indian Constitution as per KNO-UPF & GOI Agreement of the 31st Aug -2nd Sept. 2023. GoI must fulfill this agreement on or before 3rd May 2026, to give Constitutional Justice to the long Kukiland Movement that began in 1947 to Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru by the Kuki National Assembly (KNA)._
*Declaration No.2:*
_It is also affirm that no divisive Nomenclature be used by all concerned including local, state, national and international media and plateforms, other than KUKI-ZO in regards to current UT Movement. Each and every Kuki-Zo tribe must be respected and given their respective due shares in all spheres such as Social, Churches, NGO and Governmental Development Projects and Funds._
*Declaration No. 3:*
_State and Central Government Authorities including Political Parties, IB, RAW etc are informed not to apply *"Divisive Policies"* upon the Kuki-Zo people, Leaders, CSOs, Organisations, Churches, NGOs, Chiefs and Individuals through offerings of Political Positions, Party Membership, Finance Packages, Development Packages, Monetary Compensations or Ex-Gratia, except Constitutional Political Solution in the form of UT/State within the purview of the Indian Constitution. Concerned authorities (State & Central) shall be held fully responsible for any bribery offered and being received, in lieu in UT/State._
*Declaration No. 4:*
_All sorts of Non-Violent, Democratic and Peaceful Agitations, Sit-in-Protest, Peaceful Dharna, etc within 'Indian Constitutional Provisions' (in case of PR) to be continued as usual under the plateform of Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) and Inpis, through out all Kuki-Zo areas until and unless our Constitutional Rights are granted, to live like other fellow Indian citizens and co-exist peacefully, not to endure again the nighmare *"Hardships & Genocides"* as during 1917-1919, 1942-1945, 1956-1988, 1993-1997 and recently during 2023 till date, in Independent India._

_Government of India must recollect the contributions of our forefathers for India under Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (1942-45), and merge Historical KHONGJAI HILLS (1741-42) later called KUKI HILLS (1852-1949) into Kukiland UT/State officially, which was blindly merged into Indian Union in 1949 alongwith KANGLEI MANIPUR (700/ 650 Sq.miles- Brig, Sushil Kumar Sharma & Gazeteer of Manipur) in 1949 at Shillong for an Annual Compensations of Rs. 3 Lakh per annum to the Maharaja of Manipur, Maharaj Bodhachandra by V.P Menon, Advisor to the Government of India._
*Declaration No. 6:*
_As the general public have 'Trust Defincit' upon both parties in the *"Current Talks,"* representatives from Chiefs (land owners), Churches, Intellectuals and Scholars must be included as witness, as in the case of NSCN-IM and Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) of Bangladesh for transparency, in the interest of the Kuki-Zo people._

_The M. SONGGEL DECLARATION 2025 also resolved and appealed the Government of India to fulfilled the long cherished dream of the people and announce Kukiland UT constitutionally for Kuki-Zo people on or before the 3rd of May 2026, in fulfillment of KNO-UPF & GOI Agreement of 31st Aug- 2nd Sept. 2023, as the Kukis and Meiteis shall never live together again, who are psychologically, mentally, physically, politically, economically and socially separated, to enable them to stay as GOOD NEIGHBOURS with Status-Quo, as Indians in this Great Nation._

Kuki-Zo Council Concludes THIRD LEG of DISTRICT TOURS
TENGNOUPAL/CHANDEL, 15 Feb 2025 – The Kuki-Zo Council successfully completed the third phase of its district tour, covering Tengnoupal and Chandel districts. The council, which had previously visited Kuki-Zo districts such as Pherzawl and Kangpokpi, along with Aizawl, Delhi-NCR, and Nagaland, held a series of consultative meetings during this leg of the tour.
The meetings were conducted at key locations:
- Tengnoupal: A consultative meeting took place at the Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal office on 12 February 2025.
- Moreh: Discussions were held at the Hill Tribal Council Conference Hall on 13 February 2025.
- Pallel: The council met with local leaders at Molnuoi, Pallel, on 14 February 2025.
- Chandel: The final consultative meeting was held at the Kuki Inpi Chandel office in Chahkap, Chandel, on 14 February 2025.
These engagements aimed to strengthen community ties and discuss pressing concerns within the Kuki-Zo districts.

Kuki-Chin and Chakma Forces Clash in Bangladesh
Rangamati, Bangladesh – 13 February 2025: A fierce battle broke out between the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) and the JSS (Chakma) armed group, reportedly backed by the Bangladesh Army, in Burgiachara, Bilaichori sub-district of the Rangamati district in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
The clash occurred when a KNA unit was en route to Burgiachara and was ambushed by JSS fighters. KNA commandos retaliated, resulting in heavy casualties, with reports indicating that 5-6 JSS soldiers were killed on the spot and several others severely injured.
Tensions remain high in the region, with warnings of further escalation if the JSS (Santu Larma faction) does not reassess its approach.

OUTER MP has allocated around 2.28 crores from his MPLADS for projects specifically in Kuki populated areas in Churachandpur within the 59-Saikot Assembly Constituency. All the project works are managed by a single individual, Mr Onkhopao from M Songgel, who is also the Convenor of Political Affairs at KIM. He is also a Nominee for MP.
We voted for Alfred Arthur to be our MP. Every Political parties rooted for him not because he is a congressman, but because we despise Biren led BJP Govt. We voted for him because he was the same person who had been openly preaching of the major differences on budget amount sactioned between the Hills and the Valley. We voted for him because we believe he is the voice of the voiceless.
When houses have been burnt and hunderds of lives lost, when crisis is at its peak for everybody from all walks of life, it is a shame on the MP and his Nominee's part to focus developmental projects only on 'confined areas' as seen below:-
1. Renovation of Badminton court at peaceground- 19 lakhs
2. Retaining wall at D.C Quarter- 19 lakhs
3. Playground, S Mongjang -19 lakhs
4. Mini playground and retaining wall at Bijang- 19 lakhs
5. Playground at Teiseng -19 lakhs
6. Construction of Community pond at Saikul Village- 19 lakhs
7. Shingling at Songpi kholui to Mission compound- 19 lakhs
8. Constn. of public toilet and water storage at DTC ,M Songgel -19 lakhs
9. Shingling at M Songgel- 19 lakhs
10. Construction of IVR G Songgel to Sangaikot - 19 lakhs
11. Construction of IVR from S. Molhoi to Bisanmual - 19 lakhs
12. Shingling at Thingkangphai -19 lakhs
