KSO DELHI-NCR: CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

It is with profound sorrow and deep anguish that the Kuki Students' Organisation, Delhi & NCR, mourns the untimely and heartbreaking demise of Pi Lhaineilhing Misao, the dearly beloved wife of Pu Semkhomang Misao, and the devoted mother of Pu Lalboi Misao and Dr. Paojangul Misao, of Misao Lhahvom Village, Churachandpur District, Manipur.

The news of her passing has left us deeply grieved. In this moment of immense pain, we extend our heartfelt condolences and stand in solemn solidarity with the bereaved family. The loss of a mother and matriarch is irreparable, and no words are sufficient to soothe the sorrow that now weighs upon the hearts of her loved ones.

We particularly express our deepest sympathies to Pu Lalboi Misao, who served the Organisation with distinction as Games & Sports Secretary (2007-2008), and General Secretary (2011–2012), and to Dr. Ngul Misao, whose years of dedicated service in various capacities—as Social & Cultural Secretary (2015–2016), Education Secretary      (2016–2017), and  General Secretary (2018–2019), —have left a lasting imprint on the life of our student community.

The Kuki-Zo Council extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Honourable Governor of Manipur for his earnest and commendable efforts in initiating dialogue and promoting peace in the state.
At a time when ethnic tensions have deeply affected the fabric of our society, the Governor's outreach and commitment to fostering understanding and reconciliation between communities
have been a beacon of hope for many.

But despite the efforts made by the Governor, it is sad to know that politically motivated COCOMI is misleading the Meitei public and is hell-bent against the impartial Governor. Let COCOMI come out of their COCOON to see things rationally.

We also take this opportunity to appreciate the proactive steps taken by the government during
the recently concluded Shiroy Lily Festival, particularly in the management of the Manipur State Transport (MST). The thoughtful arrangement helped avoid potential confrontations
amidst the ongoing ethnic conflict. This gesture is a testament to the administration's sensitivity to the ground realities and its commitment to preventing escalation while encouraging cultural engagement and normalcy.

The Kuki-Zo Council urges the continuation of such confidence-building measures and believes
that peace is possible when all voices are heard and when every community's concerns and aspirations are acknowledged with dignity and fairness.

Mizo Territorial Army: 2 Companies

Two companies of the Mizo Territorial Army (MTA) will be raised to deal with drug trafficking and other law and order-related issues in the state, said ZPM MLA Clement Lalhmingthanga, who headed a committee on the matter.
   
Speaking to PTI on Tuesday, Lalhmingthanga said the state government has already received the Centre's nod for the force.
   
The committee he led is coordinating with other agencies and searching for land to set up the MTA's offices and camps.
   
Lalhmingthanga, the MLA of Champhai South, said land is being identified for MTA's headquarters, and many village councils have expressed their interest in offering it.
   
"The central government recently approved the establishment of the Mizo Territorial Army to check drug trafficking and other law and order-related issues," he said.
   
Chief Minister Lalduhoma had informed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during a meeting in New Delhi on Monday that recruitment for the force will start in June, according to an official statement.
   
The CM also told Singh that MTA will create employment for Mizo youths, it said.
   
He thanked Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their support to raise the Mizo Territorial Army, it added.

With hearts bowed in profound grief, we solemnly commemorate the passing of (L) Rev. Kamsuanlal @ T. Lalpu currently serving as Sangaikot MELC DS s/o Pu T. Thangkhanmang of Zoumunnuam Village, the esteemed Founder President of Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi. His life was a sacred testament to unwavering faith, selfless service, visionary leadership, and boundless devotion, leaving an everlasting imprint upon our community and all who had the privilege of knowing him.  

Pastor T. Lalpu was a beacon of divine light, guiding us with his wisdom, compassion, and resolute commitment to our shared mission. Through his tireless efforts, he forged Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi into a sanctuary of unity and hope, his gentle prayers and steadfast presence offering solace in times of trial. His departure from this earthly realm leaves a profound void, yet his enduring legacy of love and spiritual guidance will forever illuminate our path.  

To the cherished family and loved ones of Pastor T. Lalpu, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. The Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi community stands with you in this time of sorrow, lifting you up in prayer and offering our unwavering support. What the Kuki People Can Learn from Great Revolutionary Leaders

The Kuki people have faced a lot of pain and injustice, especially in recent times. But history is full of stories of brave men and women who stood up against oppression. By looking at their lives, we can learn how to stay strong, unite, and fight for our rights with courage and hope.

*Che Guevara* was from Argentina but helped lead a revolution in Cuba. He believed that people everywhere should stand up for justice, not just in their own countries. From him, the Kuki people can learn the power of solidarity, working together with others who also want peace and freedom. Che reminds us to build alliances, speak out globally, and never confine our voices within the borders of our oppressors.

*Thomas Sankara*, shows the value of self-reliance and radical reform. In just four years, he transformed Burkina Faso through education, women's empowerment, and agricultural independence. For the Kuki people, whose land and rights are often trampled under militarized policies and biased state governance, Sankara's vision taught that true freedom comes when a community takes care of itself and its people. This is a strong message for the Kuki people: build your own future, with your own hands, starting from your own villages.

His life reminds us: true revolution begins by uplifting one's own people from within.

*Nelson Mandela*, who spent 27 years in prison for fighting apartheid in South Africa, stands as a pillar of endurance. He teaches us the importance of patience, leading with wisdom even when wounded, and above all, the necessity of principled leadership.

*Ho Chi Minh* helped Vietnam win independence from foreign rulers. He believed in working with the people, not just leading from above. His story reminds the Kuki people that when everyone stands together, even the most powerful enemies can be defeated. He exemplified the balance between nationalism and socialism, leading his people against powerful foreign forces. His struggle for Vietnam's sovereignty mirrors the Kuki people's desire for dignity, and self-determination. Ho's disciplined leadership and grassroots mobilization remind us that a people united in purpose cannot be erased, no matter how powerful the enemy.

*Subhas Chandra Bose* from India believed that freedom should be taken with bold action, not just waiting or asking for it. His courage tells the Kuki people to speak up, be brave, and not be afraid to demand justice. Bose reminds the Kukis of the importance of assertive resistance. Unlike Gandhi, Bose believed that freedom was not something to beg for, it was something to demand. His legacy encourages the Kuki people not to remain silent in the face of betrayal, but to organize politically, speak truth boldly, and never shy away from reclaiming what is rightfully us.

*Rosa Luxemburg* and *Patrice Lumumba* fought against unfair systems that tried to silence them. Even though they were killed for their beliefs, their voices live on. They remind us to keep telling the truth and not give up, even when the road is dangerous.

Even *Mahatma Gandhi*, who differed from armed revolutionaries, offers lessons in nonviolent resistance and the power of civil disobedience. For the Kuki people, whose voices are often ignored by mainstream media and politics, Gandhi's methods underscore the power of moral clarity, collective fasting, public petitions, and peaceful protest.

All these leaders had different ways of fighting, but they all stood up for their people and the oppressed. Their lives teach us:

*Don't give up*
*Take care of your own people*
*Speak the truth*
*Be brave and wise*

We, the Kuki people are not alone. We are part of a long history of people who have fought for their land, their identity, and their future. The fight is hard, but history shows that when people stand strong, justice will come. Let our voice rise with courage, and let our unity be our strength.

The revolution begins in the heart, grows through unity, and triumphs through perseverance.
